10. Lin Yü-chih – 67.5 cm
According to the Guinness Book of Records, Lin Yü-chih was the smallest man in the world until 2009.The Taiwanese suffer from osteogenesis imperfecta (OI). A rare growth disease. At OI there is a hereditary disorder in the connective tissue. Someone with OI has less connective tissue, which makes the bones weaker than normal and can break faster. It may also lead to a growth decline. Lin Yü-chih decided to make the best of his life. He is an activist today and tries to gain attention worldwide for his rare illness. He regularly attends conferences and conferences.
9. Khagendra Thapa Magar – 67 cm
Especially enough one of the two Nepalese in this top ten of smallest people. Khagendra is also known as the `Small Buddha ‘in its own country. Yet she also tries to lead a meaningful life as much as possible, and is often found at the same conferences and congresses as Yü-chih. She tries to draw attention to the fate of people with disabilities. With her length, Bester is no bigger than an average child of one year old.
6. Lucia Zarate – 61.0 cm
The life of Lucia Zarate is both wonderful and bizarre. This very small Mexican was born in 1864 and received a mention in the Guinness Book of Records as the lightest woman on Earth on her seventeenth. Not even the shortest so. Her height was reached when she was 1 year old. After that she has never grown anymore. Zarate was the first person diagnosed with primordial dwarfism . This is different from `normal` dwarf growth, which involves a shortage of growth hormones. In primordial dwarfism, this is not the case. In fact, the cause is not known.
Lucia Zarate was interested in the circus in the Guinness Book of Records. She was exhibited in the United States and received from the Washington Post the mention “Wonderful Mexican Dwarf”. No title where you still get away as a newspaper today. Before Zarate was exhibited in a circus probably the only way to survive. Still, the circus became fatal at the young age. In 1890, when she was only 24, the circus train sneaked. Zarate was so cooled that she died there.
5. Junrey Balawing – 60 cm
According to the Guiness Book of Records, the smallest, presently living man in the world. Apparently, Balawing stopped growing a few months after his birth. In addition to his extremely short length, he also suffers from weak knees and is not so mobile.

4. Jyoti Amge – 58.4 cm
